From Abstract to Tangible
Brand development is high on our list of favorite undertakings. There is just nothing quite like taking a whole lot of abstract ideas and mushing them together to create a tangible end product that tells an entire story all by itself. Indian Creek Outfitters asked for a brand that reflects their upscale outfitting services and experience focused mentality. Their number one request was that it display a professional look and feel while clearly portraying what they do.
If you build it, they will (not always) come
If you’ve ever visited our website, our social media, or even our office, you’re probably familiar with at least a few of these pretty faces. These ladies spend more time in front of our cameras than almost anyone else. But what do we actually do with all these photos of them?
A brand that fits just right
A company’s brand is arguably one of the most important parts of the business. I mean, it’s literally your face. It’s what people see first. It’s how people remember you. It’s how people know you. (Shave off your beard, and no one will recognize you.) So when we have the opportunity to do brand development for a client, whether it’s a new brand or a refresh of an existing brand, it’s important that we get it just right.
Execution — The killing of a Crazy Llama
One continual challenge that an agency faces is being able to execute the vision of a client who already has a good idea of what they want, exactly the way they imagine it, and then take it to the next level.
When photographers become models
You have to be a special flavor of crazy to work here at Storm Cloud Marketing. Not only does that require putting up with some really strange and random conversations in the studio on a daily basis, it also means having to be skilled in several areas, not just one. No one here is just a photographer; they’re either a photographer/graphic designer/creative coordinator, or a videographer/designer/strategist/photographer, or some other combination. This fluid skill set creates an opportunity for us to deploy three photographers on a single shoot – as both photographers AND models.
Downstream Casino New Year's Eve BTS
The end of the year means a lot of things to a lot of people. Here in our studio, it means producing another insane New Year’s Eve promotional video for Downstream Casino Resort.
Navy Thompson's Senior Pictures are Untouchable
We don’t do senior pictures – we just don’t. In all of the craziness through the years, the topic of senior pictures hasn’t even come up… until recently.
A Bike Park in Pineville
Through our work with Atlas Safe Rooms, we’ve also been able to take on some projects for their sister company, Progressive Bike Ramps.‍This particular adventure involved capturing a new bike park in Pineville, Missouri on opening day. This would be a great opportunity to capture a lot of action with film on the different features of the bike park, which Progressive Bike Ramps can then use to show more Parks & Rec Directors what can be accomplished with the bike park concept.
Columbia Bicycles in LA
When Columbia Bicycles was invited to The TALK on CBS as a featured product, they jumped on it and asked Storm Stanley to come along. I mean, we had to really think hard about whether or not to go—just kidding, we were giddy children. Over the week that we would be in LA, we would interface with the show’s production staff as a representative of Columbia, and we wanted to take the opportunity to get some different scenery for product photos and videos. We got it.
